The objective of TÜBA-GEBIP is to foster young, outstanding scientists who are at the stage of establishing their own research programmes in Turkey after finishing their post-doctoral research activities.

The United Postal Service in conjunction with the Section on Location Analysis presented the UPS-SOLA Dissertation Award to Bahar Yetis Kara of Bilkent University. The bi-annual award honors dissertations that are judged to have made the most significant contributions to the theory and practice of location theory. [R]
Dissertation eligibility: Location analysis and/or theory should be a primary focus, i.e., the dissertation contains a significant location science component from problem and/or methodology perspective. [R]

Students who select one of the programs designated as a scholarship program in the ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center ) Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, and who are then placed in this program by the ÖSYM, are entitled to receive a full scholarship. [R]
